We pride our club on being one the most welcoming and friendliest on The Gold Coast but along with that come a sense of involvement not just the swimmers but the parents as well. Many strong friendships have developed in the canteen or in the timekeeping chairs. These jobs are all a vital part of our club and should not be deemed as a chore but more as a way of supporting your child and I can guarantee by the end of the season you will be like many others who have gotten so much out of our great club.
Welcome to St Hilda's Aquatics Club located at St Hilda's School in Southport, on the northern end of the Gold Coast. We are home to a fantastic team of swimmers ranging from those just starting in the pool to swimmers experienced in international competition.
Our swimmers aim to achieve their personal best whatever that may be. Across the season many PBs are swum, sometimes medals are won and records are broken. What ever your dream and goal is with swimming, we can help you achieve it with hard work in the pool under the guidance of our very experienced coaching team. With hard work comes rewards and we know how to have a good time! Plenty of fun and social activities for the whole family make our club a great place to belong.

This swimming club started back in about 1963 under the name of Mermaid Swimming Club. It had its beginnings in a 20m pool in a Motel at Mermaid Beach, owned by Neville Brough. The Club then moved to the Southport Pool, where it amalgamated with the Southport Club. The Mermaid Swimming Club soon moved on to Labrador, and after two years there, relocated to the present location at Biggera Waters. After 11 years at Biggera Waters, the name was formally changed to suit its location, and as from 1997 it was called Gold Coast North Swimming Club Inc.
